With the local Ollama setup, the plugin sends a 1,024-pixel JPEG preview to the AI service on your own Mac. Your original photograph is not uploaded to a cloud AI provider.

This setup is designed for Ollama's vision-capable gemma3:12b model. The downloadable model package is approximately 8.1 GB.

Not unless you ask it to. Existing titles and captions are preserved by default, while approved new keywords are appended rather than replacing your current tags.

Yes. Select one image or a batch in Lightroom Classic. One failed photograph does not stop the rest of the batch, and Review mode lets you approve each result.

Internet access is required to download Ollama and gemma3:12b. Once installed, normal local generation does not require a cloud AI service.
