What was your most anticipated part of the day?

Bride – Walking into the church with my dad, seeing all of our loved ones sitting in our church and walking down the aisle to meet my (about to be) husband
Groom – The ceremony

What ended up being your favourite part of the day?

Groom – The whole thing!
Bride – Catching moments of downtime with my husband; in the car after the ceremony, having our photos, having a 15-minute breather whilst guests were taking their seats for dinner

What advice would you give to future couples for their wedding?

Don’t sweat the small stuff! Don’t waste money on ‘pointless’ stuff! The main things guests remember are the vibe of the day and the food! To create an atmosphere that suits you and a couple and get yourself an ace photographer to capture the memories for you! Be true to yourselves as a couple and don’t feel pressured to give into wedding ‘norms’ for the sake of it.

Were you nervous? How did you squash the nerves?

Groom – Yep! But once I saw our loved ones at the church the nerves started to go away.
Bride – Not really! I chose a really solid bride squad and surrounded myself with strong yet calm females (plus my dad!) the night before the wedding and in the morning.

What was the biggest surprise on your wedding day?

How cold it was!

How did you feel at the end of the day?

Exhausted and content!

What did you like most about working with Oliver Kershaw Photography?

Wouldn’t change a thing! We always felt comfortable and looked after, even in situations that felt out of our comfort zones (like posing for photos!). Oliver understood us as a couple and the style of photos we like and did a fantastic job of bringing our visions to life. So much so that we’ve recommended him to our friends who have now booked too for their summer 2022 wedding!
