What was your most anticipated part of the day?
We both said the same thing about this- seeing each other for the first time in the ceremony. Tom said he was particularly excited to see my dress for the first time as he had no idea what it would look like. The look on his face when I saw him was everything I’d imagined. It was better than we could have expected & will remember it forever.

What ended up being your favourite part of the day?
Seeing so many of our loved ones all in one place/ we count ourselves so lucky that our wedding went ahead on our original date despite all of the chaos of the last few years!

What advice would you give to future couples for their wedding?
Don’t get to hung up on the detail. Some little things didn’t happen how we imagined them but they didn’t impact the day at all. Also, stay hydrated! There’s no shortage of people bringing you wine but also make sure there is someone in your wedding party providing you with soft drinks throughout the day.

Were you nervous? How did you squash the nerves?
We actually weren’t nervous just excited! We knew with absolute certainty that we were meant to get married.

What was the biggest surprise on your wedding day?
We had no idea that some of our loved ones who couldn’t be there on the day had sent messages to the best man. To hear the lovely messages in his speech was wonderful & so unexpected. We were truly touched.

Any advice for those couples planning their wedding now?
Enjoy the buildup to your big day. We loved planning all the little things that made our wedding unique to us.

How did you feel at the end of the day?
Elated – we couldn’t stop smiling and really weren’t ready for the day to end! … also tired! It felt a bit like we were jet-lagged the next day.

What did you like most about working with Oliver Kershaw Photography?
We wouldn’t have changed anything. The day really felt like it flowed naturally and there was no pressure or stress to get the photos done. We loved that Oliver would come and find us for good photo opportunities but never felt pressured.
