Dodford Manor Wedding – Leanne & Scott

Scott and Leanne’s wedding was held at Dodford Manor in Northampton, A very beautiful venue with a rustic barn feel to it. This was an idyllic setting for a fairytale wedding and Leanne & Scott’s wedding was lovely, so I feel that I should start off the blog post with the words “Once upon a time..”

Leanne put a lot of thought into her wedding, even down to the table settings which she had made herself. The dress was beautiful and she even had Disney-themed shoes to match her wedding dress.

Before the wedding, I stopped off at Scott and Leanne’s house. This was to capture some bridal prep photography for Leanne and the bridesmaids, also at a special request to get some photos with Prada the cat too. Scott was getting ready at a hotel close to Dodford Manor, this made it a little bit easier to get some photos of the groom prep before we headed off to capture the ceremony.

With the ceremony and reception being held at Dodford Manor, this gave us a little bit more time in the evening for photography, we had to deal with the logistics of moving locations after the ceremony. This was ideal for a wedding in November, as the light was fading fast after the ceremony.

The weather held out and gave us a lovely sunset, luckily we didn’t get any rain or snow for the whole day. Even though we were a little bit cold to say the mildly. With the early sunset, we had fun with sparklers and some other light painting tools, and almost looked like I was landing a plane at one point, waving the magic wand around. Much to the amusement of all of the wedding guests.
