Natalie & Peter’s Joy-Filled June Wedding
Some couples plan a wedding for years. Natalie and Peter planned a wedding that felt like them — relaxed, full of laughter, slightly chaotic in the best way, and absolutely focused on enjoying the moment.
After nine years together, their June 2025 wedding was never about perfection. It was about celebrating their story, their people, and finally getting those rings on.
From Click & Collect to “I Do”
Natalie and Peter first met in 2016 — a modern love story if ever there was one — after matching on Plenty of Fish. Their first date involved Natalie confidently tackling the biggest, messiest burger on the menu… and a few dates later Pete cooked dinner. Natalie hasn’t been in the kitchen since. Smart man.
The proposal followed that same playful energy. While away in Great Yarmouth for their anniversary, Natalie asked Pete how she looked before heading out. His reply?
“Nice… but maybe there’s something missing. Why don’t you try this?”
Cue Pete on one knee, Natalie grabbing the ring before he could even find the right finger, a very quick “yes”, happy tears… and then calling him a sod for breaking their agreement not to do anniversary presents that year.
A Laughter-Filled Ceremony at Glenfield Registry Office
Their wedding day began at Glenfield Registry Office, where nerves were quickly replaced by laughter.
The moment Natalie and Peter had been most excited for was simply arriving and exchanging rings — and it didn’t disappoint. During the ceremony, Natalie couldn’t resist pulling silly faces at Pete. He told her to stop… which of course made her continue. Smiles all round, and the perfect start to the day.
A Perfectly Unpolished Celebration at Little Markfield Farm
From the registry office, the celebrations moved to Little Markfield Farm, a venue that suited Natalie and Peter down to the ground.
After scrolling through venue after venue that felt a little too polished, Natalie posted in a local group. The owner of the farm commented, invited them to visit — and that was that. Flexible, welcoming, and full of character, it ticked every box.
Even the wedding car added a surprise. Expecting a Triumph Herald 1200, they instead arrived in a 13/60 — an unexpected upgrade and a great start to the celebrations.
Handmade Details & Go-With-The-Flow Moments
This wedding was packed with personal touches. Natalie threw herself into handmade décor — favours, centrepieces, save-the-dates, invitations, bunting, tealight holders, table numbers… pretty much everything except the tablecloths.
Flowers were a DIY affair (with Waitrose as a potential backup), the cake was made by Pete’s mum and sister, and there was no rigid theme — just pinks, greys, greens and hints of blue.
And when one of Natalie’s dress sleeves came loose during the first dance? Easy decision. Sleeveless for the rest of the night.
No stress. No drama. Just carry on and enjoy it.
“A Good Hoot” From Start to Finish
When asked what their favourite part of the day was, Natalie and Peter’s answer was simple: all of it. From start to finish, it was a proper good hoot.
Their advice to future couples?
Do what you want — don’t let anyone else take control.
There’s always less time than you think, so get organised early.
When things feel overwhelming, keep going — what will be, will be.
By the end of the night they were tired, happy, and had enjoyed every minute… while also being very sure they never want to plan another wedding again
Photographing Natalie & Peter
Natalie and Peter both described themselves as camera shy, so hearing that they felt relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera honestly means everything. No awkward posing, no pressure — just letting the day happen while I captured it naturally.
